Approximately 4,000 employees each year suffer injury as a result of a fall from height. A fall of less than 2m can still cause fatal injury. It is an employer’s duty to ensure that relevant training is provided. Regulation 5 of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 state that employers must ensure all employees engaged in any work at height activity must be competent to do so.
