Infection Control

With an increasing awareness of health care associated infection (HCAI) in the media, has evolved a great public concern. First Aid Executives believes that prevention is better than cure and we will ensure that your knowledge and skills assist in this philosophy.

The training I have received was second to none. First Aid to me used to be a chore - First Aid Executives have changed that perception

  • Course in line with the standards of Health & Social Care 2010
  • Delivered by experienced staff with significant competence in Infection Control
  • Suitable for NHS staff & care workers
  • In-house or individual training options
  • First Aid Executives is not a booking agency – we deliver training

This is a theory course that aims to provide the delegate with the knowledge and skills required to control and prevent the transmission of infection and contamination in a care environment and designed for anyone who works within a healthcare setting.

All NHS organisations are required to put infection control and basic hygiene at the heart of good management and clinical practice. All healthcare workers have a duty of care to their patients and preventing infection forms part of that duty of care.

This module will help NHS organisations to fulfil their requirements because, on completion, delegates will have gained an overview of the key elements of infection control, understand how infections might occur and how good practice can reduce their likelihood and prevent their spread.
